What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN, per diem position at Regions Hospital?
The Regions Hospital Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program (ADAP) has been helping people since 1972. As part of this team, the RN will collaborate with MD/CNS to perform patient centered, safe, effective patient care based on age specific needs of patient population served. This nurse will also assist the MD/CNS in providing services in telephone triage, providing crisis management, data gathering and supportive services to perform related duties, as assigned.

We believe recovery is a process, not an event, and everyone's path to recovery is different. These principles guide our clients through a full range of services from engagement to intervention, treatment, rehabilitation and support. We have strong relationships with social service and county agencies, and financial and housing organizations, and we help our clients connect with community resources to support long-term recovery. This program is designed for people who need a supportive environment, but who do not need medically supervised detoxification. There are both outpatient and residential programs available. There are also special services for clients being treated for more than one disorder.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Completion of an Associate's degree program in nursing, Baccalaureate program in nursing, or Master's degree in Nursing.
Experience:
Two years in field of psychiatry or working in a substance use disorder program experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic knowledge of psychiatric skills: must be able to collect data
Accurately and relay all information to MD/CNS for assessment.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to effectively participate on an interdisciplinary treatment team
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with
patients, family members and co-workers
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
RN State license (MN)
Demonstrates at the time of employment, and every two years thereafter, competency in CPR. The year when demonstration of competency is not required a general review of CPR is required.
