We are currently seeking a part or full time Speech Language Pathologist for our Birth to Three program. The ideal candidate has successful experience and knowledge of child development and working with children under the age of five. The position involves conducting early intervention visits in a variety of children's natural environments: private homes, child care settings, and community playgroups.
Job Description:
- Evaluate and assess children and family outcomes.
- Develop, implement and review family IFSPs (Individualized Family Service Plan).
- Coaching families/caregivers on learning activities that promote a child's acquisition of skills in a variety of developmental areas, including motor development, cognition, communication, personal social interaction and self-help skills.
- Schedule visits in accordance with family/caregiver daily activities and needs whenever possible.
- Assist families with accessing information and community resources.
- Document all records and forms in a timely, accurate, complete, and legible manner.
- Communicate details of each child's progress and development with all IFSP team members.
- Complete service coordination responsibilities for all cases.
- Attend regional, staff, and team meetings.
- Complete and maintain records.
- Data collection.
- Comply with federal and state laws, regulations, guidelines and best practices related to Birth to Three early intervention services.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Skill Requirements: Possess an ability to work independently and within transdisciplinary teams.
- Possess an ability to write concise reports and maintain accurate records.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills to balance productivity needs and required paperwork.
- Knowledge of child development.
- Experience with children with ASD.
- Skill in working with families and children with differing abilities.

- Ability to demonstrate good communication, cultural sensitivity and interpersonal skills.

- Required CT State SLP Licensure.
