What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist /Operator - 2nd Shift position at Reich LLC?
General Description:
Produces machined parts on a multi-spindle turningcenter, change tools inserts, operate a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintains quality and safety standards; keeps records; maintain equipment and supplies.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform CNC Operations
- Operate high production, multi-spindle turning center (9 spindle) w/automatic bar stock loader & cooling unit
- Operate machines in accordance with process sheets
- Retrieve CNC programs from system files and execute.
- Use manufacturing paperwork (travelers, blueprints, sketches, etc) to:
Manufacture product that meets Safety Critical quality requirements. Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection. If non-conforming, process via non-conforming material procedures
- Perform Operator required SPC Testing
- Support and meet time and schedule standards for assigned work: 1200 Parts per Shift
- Perform non-CNC tasks when necessary: non-CNC equipment operation, hand-work operations, inspections, saw-cut operations, etc.
- Maintains specifications by observing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to Reich LLC safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Experience with Siemens controls is preferred
Necessary Skills & Experience
- Must understand basic blueprint reading
- Must understand basic gauging techniques
- Ability to perform all required activities through use of metric system
- Must understand the basic tooling; turning tools, milling and drilling tools
- Must understand the basic movements of the machine axis’s (X, Y, & Z)
Training & Education:
Completion of accredited CNC curriculum, combined with 2 to 5 years CNC turning experience preferably on multi-spindle machines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
