Primary Function
This primary function of this position will serve our customers, both internal and external, by maintaining reasonable fuel inventories at all Reid Petroleum retail and dealer locations. Provide day to day work direction to drivers and outside contractors to insure optimum level of customer service and distribution efficiency. Maintain cohesive working relationships with all customers and outside contractors.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Organize and schedule efficient delivery of Reid Petroleum products to its retail and dealer customers in accordance with projections
- Review inventories, and the particular requirements of each; Ensure optimal level of product inventory by analyzing sales trends and market conditions.
- Plan driver loads taking into account site restrictions, optimal routing and cost control.
- Communicate with drivers about sites, suppliers and terminals to minimize delay time
- Respond to phone generated orders and communicate pertinent information to customers accurately;
- Coordinate deliveries with outside carriers as needed
- Run, review and investigate all necessary reports leading to a productive, efficient work environment.
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal legal requirements.
- Represent Reid Petroleum in a professional manner by performing exemplary customer service skills at all times;
- Coordinate truck maintenance as necessary.
- Provide coverage for vacations, PTO days on a as needed basis
- Be accessible “on call” after normal working hours several days per week to handle driver load inquiries as well as customer requests
- Ability to work holidays as needed
- Perform other duties as necessary
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age
- General computer knowledge
- Good people skills (diplomacy)
- Good communication skills – written and oral
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to follow written and oral directions
- Ability to report information (written or electronic) correctly
- Work with limited supervision;
- Comply with all guidelines under the Drug-Free Workplace Act
- Knowledge of area
- Ability to adapt to change on a recurrent basis
- Knowledge of pertinent rules and regulations
