The Recruiting Coordinator is directly responsible to the Assistant Dean of Institutional Effectiveness.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience according to ACCS Board of Trustees Salary Schedule E3.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills (oral and written), and work ethic (i.e., preparation and punctuality). Assemble information to inform public of policies, activities, accomplishments, and career opportunities available. Greet and direct campus visitors. Coordinate recruiting activities and programs. Assist with coordination of all news/human interest stories and advertisements. Comply with Reid State, Alabama Community College System, and FERPA guidelines. Assist with the coordination and/or preparation of articles and press releases. Assist with the coordination of contacts with media personnel and/or organizations. Assist in directing publicity programs designed to promote, using any necessary communication media. Assist with the campus photography and presentations. Arrange speeches and conduct programs for general public. Coordinates recruiting contacts with prospective students in accordance with the College?s established recruiting plan. Provide database information on prospective students to various departments and assist with follow-up. Assist with coordination of outreach projects, including the distribution of marketing materials, implementation of special promotions as well as promote the College through informative presentations and activities in local high schools. Follow-up of recruitment inquiries on applications, documentation and registration. Coordinate scholarship presentations. Work with the Enrollment Management, Financial Aid and Business Services offices to ensure accurate reporting relating to student records, grade and attendance rosters, admissions and enrollment records for dual enrollment. Develop close connections with high schools and counselors and meet with high school students on a regular basis by coordinating with the registrar and high schools to schedule dual enrollment classes and to register students, during each semester prior to registration deadlines. Visit each high school in the Reid State service area on a continuous and timely basis. Conduct high school and community presentations for prospective students, parents, and local constituents and assist in the coordination of high school visits and other on-campus activities.
Bachelor's degree in education, marketing, communication or related field required. Valid Alabama driver's license, required. Minimum of one-year full-time teaching experience preferred. Ability to integrate technology into the instructional program. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Demonstrate computer skills.
