Reinventing Geospatial (RGi) is a leading geospatial expert working with Defense, Intelligence, and Federal clients to achieve mission success and solutions for varied mission-critical programs. Projects at RGi span a wide range of software and analytical methodologies and lie at the intersection of software development and geospatial intelligence. We work with soldiers and geospatial analysts to produce solutions that allow them to develop better situational understanding of complex operational pictures. We do everything from data collection to UI/UX development and advanced deep learning, using a broad toolset including Python, C#, and ArcGIS. Our projects include cutting-edge R&D efforts, as well as large mission programs incorporating data processing/optimization, data dissemination techniques, visualization, and collaboration across the commercial and government sectors.
RGi is looking for a talented System Engineer that is passionate about technology and the mission of our customers to join our team! This individual will help and refine new capabilities and plan and track the execution of these capabilities, working closely with the Program Management, Product Management, Architecture, Solution teams and government, to understand, propose, and execute cutting edge capabilities for intelligence systems.
Responsibilities
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for new capabilities, supporting the development and deployment of capabilities
- Develop a deep understanding of existing and proposed contract scope, requirements, and stakeholder/end-user mission
- Utilize the latest technologies in Cloud Computing, AI/ML, and DevSecOps
- Ensure the delivered capabilities meet stakeholder/end-user requirements and meets performance objectives
- Work with team, within an Agile SAFe framework, to develop scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria for epics and user stories and participate in planning activities
- Establish, monitor, and track execution of work
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- Minimum 7 years of experience working as a systems engineer or in a related field
- Understanding of software and systems engineering principles
- Experience providing system administrative support for Windows and Linux environments
- Foundational knowledge of networking concepts and principles
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- The ability to collaborate, problem solve, and debate potential solutions with peers and other members of a multi-disciplinary team to determine the best approach
- Familiarity with intelligence systems
- Experience with modern, enterprise cloud development and deployment (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Experience with Platform-as-a-Service technologies (e.g., OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, etc.)
- Familiarity with container and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Experience in managing project of medium to high scale and complexity
- Experience in configuring, deploying, and maintaining an ArcGIS Enterprise environment (ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server, GeoEvent Server, etc.)
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders at both the engineering and program management level - including briefing customers on project status
- Active Top Secret clearance with willingness and ability to obtain an SCI and CI polygraph
- US Citizenship Required
