Job Description Summary The Painter is responsible for the repair, maintenance, upkeep and replacement of the property's cosmetic materials (interior/exterior painting, patching of wood work and furniture refinishing) in accordance with hotel standards. Assist in other areas of Engineering as assigned. Job Description Key Job Functions Receive daily work assignments from Engineering Manager Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments Maintain time lines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program Make rounds checking problem areas, note any touch-up needs or any safety concerns in the hotel Schedule work in accordance with preventive maintenance program in rooms Maintain par stock levels of standard paint, brushes wallpapers, stains, sign lettering and other supplies Install and repair vinyl and wallpaper Remove/replace drywall as needed along with finishing compound Strip and refinish guest room furniture Maintenance and storage of all tools and supplies Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work areas Handle chemicals according to hotel requirements Ensure security of any assigned keys Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all hotel and departmental policies and procedures Assist with room's maintenance Deliver Passionate & Engaging Service to our Guests You will be passionate and truly engaged in taking care of our guests, recognizing individual guests and anticipating their unique needs in order to exceed their expectations You will consistently deliver our GUEST model: Greet or welcome everyone, warmly with a smile Use eye and ear contact and guest’s name Establish/anticipate needs Solve and own all requests/complaints Thank everyone Build solid relationship with your Colleagues Treat colleagues with respect and dignity Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Qualifications and Skills A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency. Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor Schedule is open and subject to change according to operational needs Education and/or Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a commercial painter.
