What are the responsibilities and job description for the Running Shoe Tech position at Relay?
Relay transforms the complex logistics of footwear returns into mission driven sales to get more humans running on a cleaner planet.
We are looking for people passionate about running shoes and sustainability to help with our quality assurance process. This role will be responsible for inspecting, grading and reconditioning some of the best running footwear on the planet.
Every year thousands of running shoes are tried on for sizing and returned. These shoes end up collecting dust in warehouses or in landfills because they may have a minor scuff on the sole or simply a box that is imperfect.
Relay has built a zero waste quality assurance process that makes premium running shoes available at a great price while dramatically reducing the waste created by returns. Inspection, reconditioning and fulfillment take place at our Richmond, VA footwear lab.
To date nearly 100,000 pairs of shoes have been through this process, making Relay is the world's leading authorized seller of reconditioned running shoes.
