Job Description

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for the sorting, packing, and shipping electronic devices to customers and direct to consumers. This role will work in a fast-paced production environment and must be able to do multiple job functions. This role requires a high attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures, and has a low margin for error.

The Shipping Clerk must demonstrate the following: Familiarity with UPS and FedEx shipment software. Manage relationships with freight carriers to support inbound and outbound freight (palletized shipments). Experience with international shipments and customs paperwork. Strong computers skills, utilizing Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and the ability to learn internal throughput tracking programs.

Essential Duties:

· Pick and pack orders according to procedures and customer requirements.

· Prioritize workflow and work orders to align with daily carrier pickups.

· Consolidates orders when applicable for master packs.

· Organize workflow to ensure quality standards are achieved.

· Selection, verification, and documentation of ship to, ship via, and ship method is critical.

· Processes shipments utilizing automated and proprietary shipping software systems.

· Organize, schedule, and facilitate freight/carrier pickups inbound and outbound when applicable.

· Provide proper documentation for international shipments to meet customs requirements.

· Properly label shipments in accordance with DOT regulations.

· Maintain inventory levels of shipping materials by monitoring reorder points.

· Recommend areas where money can be saved through shipment consolidation, packing material reduction, alternative packing solutions and varying carrier options.

· High attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely shipments and responses to customers.

· Maintain the shipping/receiving area in a clean and orderly manner.

Work Environment

· Climate controlled facility

· Repetitive duties in a fast paced, high volume and dynamic environment

· The noise level in the work environment is generally low.

· May be subject to exterior temperatures when loading and unloading shipments while bay doors are open.

· Ability to walk and stand continuously during the assigned shift.

· Ability to lift/carry in full range of motion up to 50 lbs. during the assigned shift – 1-25 lbs continuously and 26 to 40 lbs frequently and 41-50 lbs occasionally.

· Ability to push/pull in a manufacturing environment up to 50 lbs to push during the assigned shift – up to 40 lbs frequently and up to 50 occasionally.

· Ability type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shift.

· Ability to work designated 8–9-hour shift with additional overtime as required.

Minimum Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· 6 months experience in shipping or general warehouse/distribution experience

Pay: $32,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year
