Requirements For The Machinist
- A High School Diploma or GED is required. Preferably, candidates will have completed a 2-year vocational technical program in the machinist trade, including experience with CAD and NC programming.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, with specific experience in a similar role, is essential.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, particularly in fast-paced environments.
- Proficient in using PC software, including MS Windows and Office applications.
- Skilled in using CAD/NC software such as CATIA V5, Solidworks, Mastercam, and Surfcam.
- Competence in reading blueprints, along with intermediate knowledge of specifications and processes.
- Solid math skills, including the ability to use a calculator effectively.
- Good understanding of G-code (and M-code, if relevant).
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
- 100% onsite, in-office role.
- Scheduled: either four – 10 hour days Monday through Thursday 6 am to 4:30 pm or five – 8 hour days. Start time anytime between 6 am to 8 am Monday through Friday.
