Training Specialist

Description

• Experience with developing and delivering presentations 
• Excellent public speaking skills
• Highly proficient with PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge of WebEx, Skype
• Basic familiarity with distance learning techniques and experience delivering presentations in a virtual environment
• Self-starter, able to work independently with strong time management skills
• Willing to become an expert in multiple operational roles, specialized processes and custom IT products; and teach these roles and processes to operational workforce
• Strong writing and editing skills, and strong attention to detail
• Experience with rapid turn-around times for training development
• Able to work well under stress
• Basic understanding of different learning styles associated with adult education
• Experience creating basic graphics, such as charts or infographics 
• Familiar with basic training lifecycle (ADDIE model or similar)
• Experienced with creating self-paced e-learning modules

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree Required
• Ability to be onsite up to 2 days per week in Springfield, VA
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Previous DHS or TSA experience (active DHS highly desired)
• DHS\TSA Suitability desired but must be quickly clearable.
• Must have 3 years demonstrated knowledge and experience.
• Strong MS Product skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with short deadlines.
• Able to work with others.
