Remington Hotels is in search of an outstanding Director of Benefits who will lead all strategic initiatives related to benefits, focusing on quality of service, cost effectiveness, ROI and an associate-centered mindset that understands the role that benefits programs and benefits communications play in attracting and retaining top talent while ensuring Remington Hotels remains an employer of choice!
- Design and provide financial oversight of all benefit programs, which include health and welfare benefits, retirement benefits, wellness, leave of absence, disability programs, and voluntary benefits.
- Evaluate industry trends and best practices as well as performance of plans to ensure that our offerings are competitive, properly administered, support the organization's strategic objectives and that they are meeting the needs of a diverse workforce.
- Oversee the development of a well-being program with a whole-person approach to well-being to address life stressors that can distract associates, hamper engagement and result in costly healthcare needs. The whole-person programs includes resources related to the career, social, financial, physical, community and emotional needs of associates and their families.
- Lead and develop a team of benefits professionals including defining ongoing objectives and engaging/motivating the team to achieve desired results. Prioritize teambuilding and cohesion amongst team members. Foster collaboration across functions to accomplish objectives.
- Lead the overall benefit communication strategy and execution.
- Continually analyze existing benefits/HR policies as well as prevailing practices and regulations among similar organizations to establish competitive benefits programs.
- Effectively manage ongoing relationships with third-party vendors to ensure they meet agreed upon service levels, promptly address any participant issues that may arise and adhere to established processes.
- Develop, maintain and report statistical data regarding current plans, proposed changes, costs/expenditures and delivery methods.
- Proactively forecast and manage the total benefits budget; partner with finance, legal and audit to identify cost, risk and legal implications to benefits programs and potential changes.
- Execute transformation initiatives and process improvement projects in a fast-paced environment to drive efficiency, compliance, and cost savings while maintaining a positive associate experience.
- Manage open enrollment process by creating and implementing a project plan, delegating tasks and creating open enrollment documentation and communication materials.
- Ensure administrative compliance with numerous federal and regulatory requirements relative to benefit plans.
