Job Title: QA Automation Engineer

Location: St. Paul, MN 55106

Type: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week minimum)

Pay Rate: $55 - $63 an hour

Project Overview: Join a dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality software products. You'll work on critical initiatives, including the DWI Dashboard, Search Warrant, and Criminal History projects. As a QA Automation Engineer, you'll actively participate in Agile events and collaborate with team members to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in formal reviews of business and functional requirements as well as application design.
• Develop and prepare comprehensive test plans.
• Determine and implement appropriate testing methodologies.
• Design, document, and execute test cases.
• Identify and communicate test requirements.
• Prepare and manage test data.
• Analyze test results and report findings.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving test failures.
• Log and track defects discovered during test execution.
• Provide detailed reports on test status and results.
• Collaborate with team members and share knowledge as required.
  
  

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Quality Assurance Experience: At least 5 years of experience in creating and executing manual and automated test cases/scripts from scratch.
• SDLC Methodologies: Proficient in software development lifecycle methodologies, including Agile and the Scrum framework.
• Automation Tools: Experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, and SoapUI, and familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Team Collaboration: Proven experience in collaborative teamwork, establishing and maintaining working relationships with business customers and technology staff. Ability to provide technical leadership in planning, designing, and executing tests.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in multiple programming languages, software development technologies, and database platforms. Hands-on experience in testing web-based applications, web services (SOAP/REST), and database systems.
• DevOps Experience: Extensive experience using DevOps tools such as Jira/Xray, Selenium, GitLab, and Octopus Deploy.
