Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Sales Education to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive sales training programs for our salesforce. They will also demonstrate exceptional people leadership skills. Reporting to the Director of Professional Education, this role will play a critical part in equipping our sales team with the knowledge, tools, and techniques needed to succeed in a competitive market.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic sales learning plans aligned with the company's objectives and sales goals.
Design and deliver engaging training materials, including presentations, workshops, e-learning modules and sales playbooks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, medical education and sales leadership, to ensure alignment of training initiatives with product launches and market needs.
Conduct ongoing assessment of training needs and effectiveness through feedback mechanisms, performance metrics and field observations.
Identify best practices and innovative approaches to enhance sales effectiveness, product knowledge and selling skills.
Lead and mentor a team of sales trainers, providing guidance, support and professional development opportunities.
Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics and regulatory requirements to continuously refine training content and methodologies.
Manage the implementation and utilization of sales enablement tools and technologies to enhance training delivery and effectiveness.
Collaborate with sales leadership to reinforce training initiatives and drive adoption of best practices in the field.
Evaluate the impact of sales training programs on key performance indicators, such as sales revenue, market share and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, education, clinical or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
3 years of experience leading a learning & development team, preferably sales education and preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
Proven track record of designing and implementing successful sales education programs that drive measurable results.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies and training evaluation techniques.
Excellent presentation, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable training strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and sales enablement platforms.
Willingness to travel as needed to support training initiatives and field activities.
