Working remotely in a hybrid role with some time in the Sydney office and national travel when required, this newly created role will manage the ongoing SOX program in the country.
Main tasks
● Reporting to the Region Head of Internal Control, manage and maintain the Groups defined SOX program in the country
● Perform annual walk throughs of processes in scope with the relevant process owners
● Maintain control documentation, updating controls and documentation as necessary to accommodate changes
● Responsible for coordinating the remediation of any deficiencies
● Reporting to country management on status of controls, testing and deficiencies
● Ongoing business education and support
● External auditor local team engagement and discussion
● Support ongoing IT General Controls compliance
Requirements
Essential
● Qualified accountant, auditor, or operational risk specialist with
experience of internal control frameworks and SOX methodologies
● A solid understanding of financial systems and technology
● Ability to engage with and influence business stakeholders
● Understanding of ITGC
Desirable
● Understanding of COSO Framework
