What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager for Marketing Agency position at Repair Lift Marketing?
We're a small but rapidly growing digital marketing agency. We specialize in Facebook & Instagram ads, Google ads, website building, SEO, and associated online marketing campaigns. We were founded in 2018 and have brought on 30 full time staff members since that time.
We have a fairly young and energetic team that enjoys working together to fulfill the needs of our clients. We are all fully remote, with staff members in New York City, Toronto, Tampa, Raleigh, South Carolina, Pakistan, Philippines, etc. We get along well and stay in touch constantly through Slack and Zoom.
We're looking to bring onboard an Account Manager in a full-time remote role. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monthly calls: Monthly calls with clients to review their accounts. Possibly every 6 weeks (twice a quarter)
- CPL Monitoring: Keeps an eye on bottom line metrics for clients, reach out to the Ads team leads if accounts need to improve.
- Cancellation calls: Handles calls from clients looking to cancel. Identify the reason and work to keep the client active
- Reviews Unique Client Goal Targets: (suggested monthly) Reviews the full scope of an account to see if it’s meeting that unique client’s needs. Besides just CPLs and promised deliverables, what is that client hoping to achieve with us and are they getting it?
- Proactive Project Management: When a client has a project (big or small), the account manager will act as a PM to keep an eye on the timeline and execution of the project. Ensures communication is fluid and the ball isn’t dropped.
- Proactive Client Advocation: Acts as a proactive advocate for the client goals internally. Identifies areas of sub-optimal performance or areas for improvement and proactively works with team members to drive improvements. Acts like the client in-house, so the client doesn’t have to.
- Client Account Status Updates: Takes point on giving clients account updates. Unless a detailed description from a team lead is required, will field client concerns and requests for account updates. Will independently review account progress notes and review Ad metrics to provide the client with updates. Will gather more information from team leads on accounts as needed.
You will not directly manage any staff, but you will coordinate with team leads and other staff members to facilitate execution on a client's account. You'll fulfill a leadership role by overseeing client accounts.
A qualified candidate will have the following skillsets:
- Communication Skills: Superior communication skills are a must. You should enjoy and excel at client communication. You should be consistently happy, patient. enthusiastic, and professional but approachable when you message/speak with clients. You should be emotionally intelligent with natural people skills.
- Marketing Strategy Experience: You'll need to know or learn a good amount about online marketing strategies. Sales funnels, PPC campaigns, CTAs, lead gen strategies, website design, etc. You'll need to speak intelligently on these subjects to clients.
- Organization: You'll need to stay organized to manage client accounts. If you aren't crystal clear on each client's goals, active projects, and needs - you won't be able to manage accounts successfully.
- Sales Ability: You won't be selling per se, but you will be retaining. Client retention requires people skills and sales skills.
- SEO: Knowledge of SEO is a plus. You won't be running SEO campaigns, but you'll need to answer client questions and give overviews. If you don't know much about SEO, you should be willing to learn.
- Google/Facebook Ads: Knowledge of Google and Facebook Ads campaigns is a plus. You won't be running campaigns, but you'll need to know how they work to answer a client's questions about them. If you don't know much about this, you should be willing and able to learn quickly.
We’re looking for someone 40hr/wk full time. The schedule is a bit flexible; most of our staff works roughly M-F 9a-5p EST hours. You really just need to be around during regular hours to work with staff and setup calls with clients in all USA time zones.
