REPAY is looking for a Software Architect to support our application development teams.
Responsibilities:
• Understand the system you're architecting, its strengths and weaknesses, upstream and downstream dependencies, and the functionality it provides to the business
• Design and document the technical implementation of new product functionality, working along-side product owners and other architects to evolve requirements into implementation plans
• Assist development teams in overcoming technical hurdles through research and proofs of concepts
• Evaluate and champion opportunities for technical innovation
• Measure the architectural health of the system and formulate plans for technical improvements
• Help guide the organization through the establishment of technical guidelines, standards, and best practice patterns
Skills & Experience Needed:
• Extensive experience serving as a senior level software engineer on highly available, scalable systems
• Ability to rapidly establish an extensive technical understanding of the systems you're supporting
• Familiarity with current software engineering best practices, and a drive to keep that knowledge up to date
• Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas, both verbally and visually, in writing and in person
• Desire to be a team player and win as a team
• Adaptability to shifting business priorities
• Ability to self-manage time, make timebound commitments, and deliver
• Extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, preferably including RDS (Postgres), Elasticache (Redis), Elasticsearch, S3, DynamoDB
• Extensive hands-on experience with .NET, C#, Web API, SQL Server
• Familiarity working within Scrum agile methodologies toward Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
Preferred
Qualifications:
• Experience with integrating independent systems into an enterprise landscape
• Experience with payment systems, especially clearing and settlement
• Proven experience in architecting and designing software from initial concept to final delivery
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or equivalent experience
