JOB SUMMARY: Provides technical and administrative assistance to the Sales Department by performing the following duties:
Input all pertinent information from take-offs and job data sheets into proposal format. Assist in preparation of project layout with Multi-Family, Tract, Euro or Frame Units. Incumbent prepares revised proposals and optional pricing proposals as needed. Proficient and readily skilled in Cabinet Vision; 20/20; or other technical drawing programs desired. Keeps Project Manager and Sales Representatives informed of bid-pricing changes. Has the ability to prioritize projects based on deadline dates. In addition, is able to multi-task and work under pressure. Performs other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISOR CONTROLS:
The Manager defines the objectives and priorities, informs the incumbent of special priorities and deadlines, and the degree of quality and accuracy that is expected. The project manager and/or sales representatives provide additional instructions for new, difficult, or unusual tasks that may include suggested work methods or advice. The incumbent independently carries out regular and recurring assignments without assistance. However, the Manager and/or Project Manager are available for advice on any deviations, problems, or unusual instructions. Completed work, reports and procedures are reviewed for technical accuracy and compliance with instructions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed in a normal office setting. The worksite is well lighted, well ventilated, and easily accessible. Employee is required to wear safety clothing and equipment appropriate for job assignment and work areas where assigned, as directed by the Manager.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED OF THE POSITION:
1.General knowledge of the construction industry in a manufacturing setting in order to maintain information necessary for preparing bid proposals.
2.Ability to read blueprints to insure changes in plans and specifications have been accurately noted.
3.Ability to prepare bid proposals to builders.
4.Ability to schedule work projects to encompass the detail scheduling by job priority and the proper sequencing of job phases.
5.Knowledge and skilled in the use of 20/20, Cabinet Vision or other technical drawing programs.
6.Ability to communicate orally with Project Managers, schedulers, and sales representatives.
7.General Knowledge of Bluebeam Estimating Software. (desired)
8.Performs other related duties as assigned.
