The Company
Rescue is a full-service marketing agency with a mission to make healthy behaviors easier and more appealing. Since our founding in 2001, Rescue has been exclusively focused on researching, developing, and implementing positive social change campaigns in public health. We provide research, strategy, creative, production, web, traditional media, social media, policy change, youth engagement and experiential marketing services to government, non-profit, and healthcare clients in over 25 states and provinces, as well as to federal government agencies.
Rescue’s health behavior change marketing campaigns focus on topics such as tobacco, obesity, substance and alcohol prevention; the promotion of exercise, eating healthy foods, early childhood development, and after school programs; and other topics that promote healthy living. Rescue’s behavior change campaigns focus on diverse populations within teen (13 - 17), young adult (18 - 26), and adult (18 ) populations in both rural and urban areas, resulting in a wide variety of campaign styles and strategies.

The Job
The Account Manager is responsible for planning, management and oversight of all creative development, and social and digital brand activities. The job of the Account Manager entails activities pertaining to, but not limited to:
Day-To-Day Activities:
Creative Development
- Implement strategies that follow Rescue’s research recommendations;
- Work closely with Rescue’s Media and Strategy team to develop digital and supporting channel marketing campaigns to drive awareness and engagement;
- Direct and collaborate with Rescue team members to create campaign-related collateral, such as commercials, graphic design, web design, and social media following set protocol;
- Write Creative Request briefs and champion work through the creative development and approval process.
Campaign Management
- Provide timely reports on campaign progress to Rescue staff and client;
- Manage ongoing deliverables on a weekly basis;
- Lead outreach to various campaign-related subcontractors and media companies;
- Track tasks and deliverables using project management tools (e.g. Teamwork, Basecamp, Zoho, etc.);
- Communicate effectively with team members in multiple departments to bridge communication gaps;
- Consult with manager to develop task lists and maintain a clear view of the work to be done;
- Manage cross-discipline project timelines and ensure client deliverables are on time;
- Assist in the process of paid digital and paid social media planning and buys.
Budget Management
- Plan, manage and reconcile campaign budgets on a monthly basis
- Partner with internal production team to develop production-specific budgets to support the campaign
Client Management
- Serve as primary day-to-day contact for client inclusive of preparing and presenting all monthly/quarterly client reporting to share strategies, timelines, deliverables, impact and results;
- Assist in maintaining and growing client relationships;
- Assist in managing client expectations based on what they want in a specific deliverable and provide realistic timelines to complete any given deliverable;
- Assist in relaying creative changes from client to Rescue’s creative team.
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years relevant experience OR Bachelor's Degree 2 years relevant experience OR Master's Degree;
- Experience managing and juggling multiple priorities and projects or accounts requiring effective time management and organizational skills;
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills;
- Experience with active listening to fully understand and respond to issues, concerns or questions;
- Ability to work to collaborate across cross-functional teams and projects;
- Experience working on public health projects/topics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with government clients;
- Creative experience to support creative team members and develop new media;
- Ability to quickly identify and solve problems;
- Ability to see the big picture while keeping track of details;
- Ability to identify when suggestions by others don’t correspond with research or past experiences and engage and influence team members while demonstrating professionalism;
- Ability to excel in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
