Position Summary & Responsibilities
This individual will work within the Global Procurement and Sourcing Function and will serve as a Buyer for GMP Operations, Development Sites, and R&D Sites where needed. This role will support both indirect materials / services buying as well as GMP (direct materials) activity as needed.
Responsibilities
- Purchase Order (PO) creation and management, and monitoring
- Process PO change orders and Request for Quotes (RFQ) to suppliers
- Drive workflow adherence with POs to ensure timely completion
- For assigned categories / suppliers, review daily buying reports and system recommendations to drive decisions on quantities and re-ordering
- Coordinate purchasing activities across departments to ensure materials are available when needed
- Troubleshoot PO and invoice issues within the various systems to ensure compliance and ensure adherence to the procurement process
- Responsible for ensuring corporate compliance for supplier onboarding including due diligence and supplier compliance verifications
- Drive innovation in spend management in partnership and collaboration with the category procurement leads
- Cost analysis of existing spend to drive value
- Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, delivery terms, shipping to manage costs
- Review opportunities for new sources of supply for materials and services
- Supplier onboarding and supplier management - in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Participate and or support business functional meetings with suppliers as needed
- Support and implement strategy set forth by the category managers
- Suggest alternate suppliers to align with company strategy and reduce tail spend
- Cross-functional collaboration with various internal stakeholders to ensure effective, efficient, and timely response to support goods and services required for the successful operation of the company
- Establish stakeholder relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including interactions with multiple groups including Supply Chain, Planning, Warehouse, Operations, Finance, and Quality
Minimum Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of ERP systems in a Manufacturing/Supply Chain environment
- Prior experience with Procure-to-Pay (PtP) processes (PO creation, PO management, and invoice management)
- Experience with onboarding new suppliers (W9, Banking information, TIN matching)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SAP and COUPA including supplier catalogs
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics (D-365) and ZIP
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Understanding of supplier quality in a GMP / Pharmaceutical environment

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
