Job Posting for Marketing Manager, Events at ResMan
SUMMARY:
This at-will position reports to the Director of Product & Field Marketing.
The Marketing Manager, Events is responsible for planning, creating, coordinating, and hosting events, including trade shows, roadshows, user conferences, advisory groups, and more. Your position is responsible for effectively producing high quality and well-planned activities and managing all aspects of the event planning process. Your role requires strong organizational skills, self-starter with high energy, ability to travel to various locations within the United States.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Event Planning – Develop and coordinate all phases of the event planning process (research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation) with delivering quality and creative.
Event Management – Ability to manage and execute multiple events simultaneously. This includes but not limited to timelines, production schedules, risk assessment, innovative design, vendor/venue management, event team coordination, and logistics management.
Event Production Coordination – Responsible for executing on and off-site events including but not limited to event team coordination, event set-up, day of hosting, event and risk brief, managing logistics throughout the event, and event tear down.
Budgets and Contracts – Oversee, review, and process assigned accounting and financial matters based on assigned event budgets. (i.e., processing invoices, reviewing and negotiating vendor quotes, working with accounts payable, working on accruals, etc.)
Marketing Coordination – Develop, design, and create compelling and comprehensive marketing plans and materials to market events and programs (i.e., direct mail, website content, social media content, newsletters, banners, email, event photography, event registration management via EventZilla).
Record-Keeping – Maintaining accurate event folders and records both online and in paper form and submit required items by deadlines (i.e., event recaps, attendance stats, evaluations, event photos).
Department Support – Support through special projects, team members, and collateral duties as assigned.
ResMan User Conference – Oversee the management of our User Conference (ResMan Edge), including working with teams across the company to develop content/sessions, promotions, registrations, sponsorships, hotels, special events and more.
Association Memberships – Manage City, State, and National Apartment Association memberships, including annual costs, renewal dates, available membership lists, and potential networking opportunities.
Post Event Follow-up – Manage all post-event follow-up includes an event case study, meeting recap, event surveys, review of invoices, expense allocations, and processing of payments.
Invoicing – Maintain suppliers' invoices, travel & expense reports, financial records, and billing records submitted to clients for events and prepare reports via excel
Lead Reporting – Assist with data entry and lead reporting efforts
Key Performance Indicators – Develop metrics and processes to measure events and show success and proactively provide analysis and recommendation to management for continual program improvement.
CORE COMPETENCIES:

Must understand social media outreach efforts.
Must have a marketing background.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Salesforce, HubSpot, Asana, EventZilla, and design software.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little to no supervision
Extreme attention to detail and ability to multi-task with short deadlines
May require prolonged standing during onsite support
Light physical effort required (packing, unpacking, shipping, event/exhibit install/dismantle). Ability to lift to 30 pounds.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Event Planning and or Field Marketing
Familiar with a variety of Marketing concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
