Position Summary

MatrixCare is looking for an innovative and driven Senior Cloud Engineer responsible in helping support our cloud engineering team. In this role you will be working with multiple teams and technologies as we support and modernize our technology stack. All while ensuring performance and availability of our infrastructure and seeking to reduce our mean time to resolution to the minimum possible time.

You will have the opportunity to help drive our push left goals while working to reduce human error from our processes using tools such as Ansible and RedHat Tower. You will also ensure documentation is written and kept up to date and help ensure knowledge can be transferred between engineers.

You will be part of a team of engineers focused on re-envisioning our deployment strategies and maintenance practices. With a strong focus on automating and enabling other teams to perform their needed tasks, while also providing security guardrails and always having a least privileged mindset.

MatrixCare is the industry leader in Out-Of-Hospital Healthcare Software and a part of the ResMed Global SaaS business. This is a senior level role with the Cloud Engineering & Operations team which is part of the larger Platform Engineering & Enablement, R&D.

We are looking for a motivated Engineer to join an established yet growing team of talented colleagues who are focused on delivering a quality, consistent product with increased speed. The candidate must be familiar with DevOps principals and have a drive to automate away any toil and who enjoys passing their passion onto others though mentorship. Principal Responsibilities

* Follow and support corporate security policies, standards, and procedures as they apply to this role. Maintain customer and corporate privacy standards as outlined by HIPAA
* Provide mentoring to team members to enable them to achieve a high level of success
* Participate in our on-call as an escalation resource, being responsible for MatrixCare uptime and supporting infrastructure
* Work closely and cross-functionally with other leaders to align technical vision to product and operational needs and contribute to design and architecture decisions
* Enable teams to deliver key building blocks (tools and services) that allow product development teams to deploy and maintain their services
* Work with the team to define, prioritize and report work completed
* Provide technical leadership - best practices, testing, performance, reliability
* Generate goodwill for the organization and its management among staff, clients, suppliers, referral sources, regulator bodies, the general community, and others pertinent to the business; demonstrate a strong commitment to client service and service excellence.
* Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations, as deemed necessary by management.
* Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the management team

Education and Experience

* Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
* 8 years of related experience
* 3 years of experience with DevOps principals and configuration management, Ansible preferred
* 3 years working with Public cloud environments for production environments.
* Demonstrated experience with IaC such as Terraform or Cloud formation
* Experience with containerization technologies, Kubernetes is a plus

Skills and Abilities Required

* Independently assist the team with troubleshooting issues and bugs
* Ability to communicate, discuss, and champion reliability, security and non-feature efforts with delivery teams to propagate DevOps Culture
* Strong analytical skills; Ability to collect, organize data; summarize findings and develop conclusions and recommendations
* Self-starter who takes initiatives and is proactive
* Ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks
* Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, including management and end users
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to work professionally under tight deadlines and pressures
* Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently and diplomatically orally and in writing
* Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and accurately follow through on work activities to meet deadlines as well as work independently with a minimum amount of direction and/or supervision

Work Environment

* Professional Office Environment
* Extended periods of sitting required
* Hours of work normally 40 per week
* Ability to work non-standard hours including weekends and holidays, as required
