Profile Summary:
We are hiring an Unclaimed Property Manager. This position reports into the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer's Department at Resolution Life US. This position supports the business to properly identify, assess and manage unclaimed property for all divisions of the company. This will include working with various third parties outside the company, including other insurance companies.
Profile Description:
Assist with the transition and standup of a new unclaimed property process
Manage the ongoing supervision of various company areas and third parties to ensure compliance with unclaimed property laws
Point of contact for outside third parties to assist in the execution of unclaimed property payments to states
Point of contact, working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer, in the management of unclaimed property examinations
Create awareness materials and perform training to staff and executives, as needed.
Position will have the opportunity to grow into a subject matter expert into other areas of state insurance compliance
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in unclaimed property or similar discipline required. Former life insurance or annuity compliance experience is not required but is 'a plus'.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex business processes, analyze potential risks and think outside the box to recommend appropriate solutions
Highly disciplined, able to make independent decisions and work with limited supervision
Experience in leading and delivering cross-functional initiatives, with the ability to collaborate with business and functional experts to provide guidance, recognize risks and design enhancements.
Proven track record of fostering relationships across all levels and operating through influence to formulate, advocate and drive ideas forward
Proficiency in reporting tools including Microsoft Office suite of products
