What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at ResourceMFG?
Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions and reconcile bank statements
- Prepare and process journal entries for various accounts
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of general ledger
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation
- Assist with general ledger accounting tasks, such as month-end close procedures
- Support tax preparation activities by gathering and organizing relevant financial data
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions and payroll
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Proficiency in debits and credits, as well as double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Knowledge of general ledger reconciliation processes and procedures
- Familiarity with accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation and payroll
- Ability to perform 10-key typing accurately and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Note: Experience with Sage accounting software systems is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
