Select Staffing has a great opportunity for a sit down forklift driver within a manufacturing company in Chatsworth, CA.
Hours: 5AM – 1:30PM
Monday to Friday
Overtime and Saturdays as needed
JOB SUMMARY:
Operates sit-down forklift truck to move material to and from the packing area. Also, moves material on carts or by hand as instructed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Under minimal supervision, uses a pallet jack and different types of fork trucks to move raw material and finished product to and from the production area, primarily the Assembly and Packing areas.
2. Assists in the palletizing, banding, and stretch-wrapping of the product, as instructed.
3. Inspects and maintains fork truck for compliance with safety requirements according to daily Fork Truck Inspection procedure. Corrects any safety issues prior to operating the sit-down forklift truck.
4. Requisitions materials from warehouse. Inspects material for shipping damage and/or supplier defects.
5. Performs assembling and packing functions as required.
