Position Title: Assistant Project Manager / Project Support (Office Based)
Hours Per Week: 50 - 55 hours/week
Schedule: Day Shift
Education: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, or Construction Management degrees are preferred but not required. Applicants with other degrees or relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience: Entry Level Position
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

Our headquarters is in Rosedale Maryland and our primary service areas are Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia. Job Description: This is primarily an office-based role which will perform a variety of project management, project engineering, estimating, and project support duties. Occasional field work is also a possibility. Over time the role will adapt based upon the aptitude of the employee and the shifting needs of the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
Project Coordination Duties:
1. Maintain and organize project files – drawings, contacts, meeting minutes, schedules, etc.
2. Maintain and organize server files – product data, qualifications, licenses, training certificates, etc.
3. Coordinate with subcontractors, inspection agencies, other 3rd parties
4. Apply for, oversee compliance of, and close out permits
5. Compile project close out documents
6. Support purchasing department and provide link between purchasing and project specifications.
Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer Duties:
1. Provide field with technical and engineering support
2. Read and understand drawings
3. Compare field conditions vs drawings
4. Develop as built drawings
5. Create shop drawings
6. Create submittals and manage submittal log
7. Assist with management of contracts, change orders, RFI’s, etc.
Estimating Duties:
1. Perform quantity take offs
2. Attend pre-bid meetings
3. Input information onto bid forms
4. Price individual line items
Qualifications:
1. Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to work required
2. Permanent Residence or US Citizen
3. Ability to pass background checks for confidential/high profile projects
4. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
5. Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency
6. AutoCAD experience is a plus but not required
7. Construction experience is a plus but not required
8. Spanish language capabilities are a plus but not required
