Part Time Warehouse Associate

We receive 1 million in-kind donations of glasses annually and additionally source glasses through a philanthropic program with one of the largest distributors of eyeglasses. In 2022, RestoringVision will reach 3.5 million people and is poised to grow to reach 10 million people annually. This year, our programs operate in 100 countries and are scaling in 18.

Responsibilities:
The Shipping Coordinator reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations. Specific responsibilities include:
- Coordinates all inbound shipments of eyeglasses, supplies and other products
- Coordinates all outbound shipments of glasses from manufacturers, donor facilities, our distribution center, and 3PL’s
- Ships orders to nonprofits in the US and to NGO and governments in less developed countries where we have our programs
- Coordinates both domestic and international shipping, small parcel and freight
- Works with vendors including FedEx, UPS, DHL, and various freight forwarders.
- Coordinates shipping related to our 3PL contracts
- Prepares shipping and exportation documents to ensure timely shipping and clearing of customs
- Tracks the status of all shipments and updates in real time; addresses delays and shipping issues as needed
- Creates and submits shipping reports and analyses to the Operations Manager
- Tracks costs associated with small parcel shipping
- Tracks and updates small parcel shipping
- Updates order delivery statuses within our Salesforce CRM system
- Communicates with all necessary parties via email and phone to ensure product is picked up and delivered in a timely manner
- Communicates with multiple parties to determine documentation needs of consignee region prior to shipping
- Communicates with the internal team regarding shipping updates as needed
- Any other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field: Shipping, Logistics, Distribution
· Organized and detail-oriented
· Self-motivated with a desire to learn and a proactive approach
· Team player
· Impeccable integrity
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand during shift.
Schedule:
Flexible 20-25 hours per week schedule during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
