SUMMARY
The Treasurer plays a vital part in the company’s cash management and oversees the financial affairs of the company. Their primary duty is to maintain and improve the company’s financial standing and includes planning, reporting, record-keeping and managing incoming and outgoing funds. The Treasurer ensures the protection of the company’s funds and guides financial policies, assess risk, and advises on investment opportunities.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for establishing maintaining relationships with commercial bankers and rating agencies
- Monitors operating cash requirements to ensure liquidity for all operations.
- Formulates comprehensive cash forecasting reports and advises senior managers on risk assessments.
- Communicates the operating and financial performance goals and strategies to investors and creditors.
- Maintains the financial systems and policies controlling the company’s treasury activities
- Reconciles all cash accounts.
- Structure debt arrangements.
- Directs investments of corporate cash.
- Ensures debt covenant compliance.
- Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of internal controls procedures, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
- Prepare Ad Hoc Analyses and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Requires BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA and or CTP preferred but not required
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience
- High proficiency in MS Excel
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Excellent problem solving, analytical abilities and forecasting skills
- Knowledge of financial legislature.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize/complete tasks and manage multiple assignments/deadlines
- Capable of working independently
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use gross manipulation, speak, and hear, understand and distinguish speech. Employee may be occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and far vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is that of a typical office. The noise level and temperature in the work environment is usually moderate. Occasional travel will be required. Overtime, weekend, and evening work will be required as needed. Work may be stressful at times.
