Specialist Clinical Program

Retail Business Services is the services company of leading grocery retail group Ahold Delhaize USA, currently providing services to five omnichannel grocery brands, including Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop.

Primary Purpose:

Supports Brand pharmacies in the development, administration, and evolution of services designed to assist customers in maintaining good health or improving current health conditions.  Positions Brand pharmacies to maximize performance based reimbursements and/or mitigate performance based fees.  Leads programs that differentiate Brand pharmacies by developing communication programs to engage customers that are supportive of advancing a patient’s health or expanding pharmacy services.  Areas of primary focus will include: pharmacist provided immunizations, medication therapy management, disease state management, point of care testing, dietician collaboration, and expanding the role of retail pharmacists in other clinical areas.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develops clinical programs and services that measurably change customer behavior in choosing good health or improving health while enhancing Brand pharmacy department financial performance. 
• Reviews and edits clinical materials used in Brand pharmacy services offerings, such as immunization standing orders or other clinical protocols to remain current with state and Federal regulations, recommended schedules and other requirements (ie reporting or counseling etc.)
• Identifies best practices and evaluates new clinical services for implementation in Brand pharmacies.
• Maintains a broad based view of managed care payment performance standards and how they are expected to evolve over time. 
• Maintains and expands clinical programs or administration in-line with brand strategy
• Understands and prepares Brands to deliver against the needs of various health care organizations, payers, employers and governmental healthcare organizations. 
• Collaborates with external parties: medical schools, diagnostic or device manufacturers, Legal, Compliance, Dieticians, Outcomes Reporting, Pharmacy Operations, etc. in understanding current customer needs and in the design of new programs and services. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 – 4 Years pharmacist experience
