The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Food & Nutrition Services is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to supervise the performance of general service staff in designated areas. Other duties include:

  • Supervise the performance of general service staff in designated areas.
  • Enforce departmental work guidelines and policies/procedures
  • Maintain adequate staffing, food quality, schedules, and quality assurance records
  • Complete assigned forecasting
  • Order menu items to meet demand
  • Assist in providing food service as needed
  • Attend supervisory meetings and conducts staff meeting

Percent of Time: 50%

Schedule: 9:30am - 1:30pm Monday - Friday with some holidays

Pay Grade: 08 https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/pay-plans/merit-pay-plan

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • High School graduation or equivalent and two years of directly related food distribution experience;
  • or any equivalent combination of post high school education and experience providing a knowledge or background in institutional food service distribution
