Revel Catering and Events is Hiring a Lead Production Chef

Our ideal candidate should be familiar with off-site catering production and realize that flexibility and dedication are key to being a successful production chef. Creativity and inventiveness when developing dishes and menus while ensuring variety and the highest level of quality is also a must. They will need to cultivate relationships with managers and other team members that are professional and collaborative. They will be expected to manage with empathy and integrity and maintain a respectful and productive line of communication between managers and staff. They will be expected to resolve conflicts diplomatically through progressive and constructive policies. They should also be open to teaching and training opportunities for less experienced team members that foster conditions of success within the Revel team and individuals.

Duties include:

Ordering and maintaining provisions for production kitchen and events

Maintaining and managing relationships with vendors

Maintaining appropriate food cost per event

Developing menus and dishes

Scheduling and coordinating staff for production kitchen

Moderate computer skills including familiarity with Google Drive is necessary.

Must be open to a background check, have a valid driver's license, and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Holidays
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Oakland, CA 94619: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Culinary experience: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Cooking: 5 years (Preferred)
