POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
This position is an entry level commercial interface for a limited set of assigned accounts and is responsible for orders and margin growth of the assigned accounts. As Account Manager I, you will be responsible for meeting quarterly quotas while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You will focus on basic applications and basic estimates and will provide accurate job estimating. You will collaborate with the Director of Business Development or Senior Account Manager to address job-related customer problems – identifying and implementing solutions that drive growth. You will utilize internal and external resources who contribute to developing estimates and proposals and will create and execute an annual growth strategy forecast for each assigned account with support from the manager or Sr. Account Manager.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Function as the account owner and primary sales resource accountable for orders from assigned accounts, typically $.5M - $1.5M .
  • Demonstrate expertise on Revere Control Systems estimating systems, engineering practices, and applications related to the assigned accounts.
  • Develop and execute pricing strategies that optimize Gross Profit at the time of order entry.
  • Meet deadlines for proposal submission.
  • Provide clear, comprehensive proposal documentation addressing specification issues and risks.
  • Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge of new products and solutions.
  • Provide frequent customer contact and expand contacts and influence with each customer.
  • Use templates and other estimating efficiency measures that improve overall cost to quote KPI.
  • Log estimating time by opportunity number into the time system.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for all jobs in process; communicate identified issues, concerns, and problems to other team members in a timely manner and drive resolution.
  • Function as a problem solver; seek to identify innovative methods to resolve customer challenges and address the customer business needs.
  • Participate in kick-off meetings and provide clear project requirement details to the engineering team.
  • Work with Estimating and Engineering resources to identify delegation needs based on job size and labor availability.
  • Travel to customer offices and relevant trade events as necessary.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technical Degree with 1 years’ experience OR 2 years’ experience in the controls field.
  • Collaborate with a team performing estimating and customer service functions with supervision.
  • Experienced in specification reading and interpretation forcontrols field and application requirements.
  • Knowledgeable of latest industry application methods (software/networking/equipment).
  • Basic computer literacy – Microsoft Office, e-mail, estimating programs.
  • Able to interpret job specifications in a detailed and accurate manner - emphasis on obtaining clarification for any unclear areas.
  • Experienced in estimating and quoting – both components and man-hour/time requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position, and business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Longer hours, evenings and weekend work will frequently be necessary.
