PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES

The Manufacturing Maintenance and Facilities Manager has overall responsibility for maintaining and servicing all manufacturing equipment, building infrastructure as well as supervising all ground work and general facilities care. This position supports all manufacturing and assembly operations to include implementing corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance practices on all manufacturing and facilities equipment and infrastructure. This role is critical to insuring uninterrupted service of all operations and in maintaining a safe, comfortable working environment for all employees.  

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, plan and organize Maintenance and Facilities Team Member’s activities in support of manufacturing equipment maintenance, general facilities repair, service and grounds keeping.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services on all equipment in support of manufacturing and assembly operations including HVAC, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ownership of roadmap for future facility maintenance requirements to ensure safety and continuous operations.
  • Schedule, implement and maintain PM on all equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic electrical and plumbing installation and repair work.
  • Determine and maintain equipment spare parts and supplies inventories.
  • Support Manufacturing and Process Engineering in process / product development and improvement activities.
  • Management of General Contractors on facilities and equipment work. Experience in managing facility expansion / modification construction projects.
  • Participate in company safety, cost saving and environmental initiatives.
  • On call during weekend and nights during plant operations.
  • Coordinate budgeting, project development and design, and requests for bids, proposals and qualifications, preparation and issuance of contracts and specifications for maintenance and equipment, including RFPs, and review for compliance with industry and government standards.
  • Report and Manage compliance issues with local, state and federal regulations, including; fire system, and any other inspections and services required by state and federal law.
  • Maintain, train and ensure current technologies industry standards are directed to staff. Develop procedures and necessary training programs for maintenance.
  • Other duties as required.
  •  Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements
  • Technical educational certification or equivalent combination of work experience.
  • 5-7 years relative maintenance experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • Must have knowledge of repair and service of HVAC systems
  • Proven mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic aptitude.
  • Knowledgably operate machine shop and welding equipment.
  • Must be able to safely work at varying heights throughout the facility. 
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, samples, and specifications.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to multi-task and prioritize assigned projects.
  • Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate safe lifting capability for 50 pounds on a regular basis and be able to operate lifting mechanisms for heavier loads.
  • An understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts a plus.
  • Possess excellent people skills and works well in a team environment. 
  • Proficient in computer use with Microsoft Office: (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Computer Aided Design, and Maintenance Scheduling Tools a plus.

  • Office work environment or else.
  • May have to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
