The EMR Analyst is responsible for support aspects of the electronical medical record system (EMR), including intake systems, scheduling systems, application administration, troubleshooting, assisting with upgrades, assisting with integration projects with other applications, and assisting with the implementation of new functionality. The role also requires understanding of the organizational workflows as they relate to the EMR. The individual provides training to new staff and providers on proper use of the system and provides support to Help Desk staff as well as part time assistance with calls. The individual will be working with many end-users on a daily basis, so good communication skills and a positive attitude is essential.
Full-time Monday - Friday 7:30/8:00 am - 4:30pm/5:00pm out of your Bloomington location.

Essential Functions:
- Assist in projects associated with the technical and training aspects of organizational growth.
- Provide support to the Level 1 Help Desk staff for issues they are inexperienced in addressing. Take Level 1 calls when scheduled to do so and as needed by the business environment.
- Conduct system testing for tracking and resolution of issues.
- Assist with system setup and establishing new practice workflows.
- Attend project team training and be familiar with the product features/capabilities and future-state workflows.
- Lead training sessions. Train new providers and new staff on the proper use of the EMR and related clinical systems
- Assist in the development of clinical/business workflow testing scenarios along with the Project Manager and management advisors; perform testing.
- Provide support during system go-lives and upgrades.
- Assist with configuration of forms and templates. Setup and test other EMR related system components such as EMR Tasking, EMR Views, etc.
- Occasionally participate in community functions relating to outreach events throughout the year
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or related field
- Experience working in a physician office environment, preferably experience within a large practice and with surgical practice operations.
- Demonstrated understanding of physician office clinical workflows
- Proficient with PC usage and other physician office software applications and willing to learn new software products.
- Strong technical aptitude required.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and change management skills required.
