Driving Instructor

• Represent & reinforce the safety departments standards and best practices
• Train, reinforce, and standardize best practices for exceptional drivers
• Prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
• Prepare classroom and range for class activities
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
• Use relevant technology to support instruction
• Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
• Provide appropriate feedback on work
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
• Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required.
• Prepare required reports on students and activities
• Efficiently communicate necessary information regarding student progress and needs
• keep up to date with developments in each subject area
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Class A CDL and three years experience driving tractor-trailer
• Expert understanding of DOT laws & FMCSA regulations
• 1-year experience as a trainer or previous experience in education
• Person(s) hired may be required to either possess at entry or obtain within specified time limits designated licenses, professional registration, certification, or specialized education and training relevant to the area of assignment. Must possess and maintain a valid class A CDL and a satisfactory driving record.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, as well as an outside environment, that could include extreme hot and cold temperatures and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, and to attend meetings at various sites within and away from the office; strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds;
• Great computer skills

Compensation: *$65,000/yr
