To help us keep up with our continued growth. We’re seeking a talented Title Assistant to join our team.
What you’ll do:
- Supervise examination and determination of insurability of title to real property
- Supervise preparation of preliminary title reports, title commitments, abstracts and other documents to establish title
- Ensure orders are properly processed and completed within expected timeframes
- Determine appropriate title requirements and exceptions that must be reported on title
- Review and approve employee's title commitments for accuracy and completeness (as needed)
- Examine and/or oversee examination of title (including examination of Deeds, Deeds of Trust, Mortgages, Easements, Judgments, Tax Assessments, Mineral Reservations and other applicable instruments) form moderate to advanced complexity
- Assist with review of additional documentation received from outside parties necessary to clear title
- Oversee workflow processes to ensure quality and productivity
- Review new technical notices, codebooks and requirements from underwriters and coordinate with management as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned

What you need:
- Related Functional Experience: Minimum of 6 years' experience in examination or underwriting
- Time in position: Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of multiple states
- Title Producer’s license in multiple states preferred, but not required
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex reports and documentation
- Ability to determine proper resolution of title examination issues
- Effective research skills and ability to use title company software such as Qualia, DataTree, DataTrace, Title Data, Title Point, etc.
- Comprehensive knowledge of underwriting policies and guidelines
- Comprehensive knowledge of real estate law and title and escrow curative procedures in addition to local regulatory title insurance laws & requirements
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effective presentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work within established time frames
- Ability to prioritize conflicting demands & meet department needs with available resources
