We are seeking a Sales Trainee to join our Rexel team in San Jose, CA:
This position's schedule will be 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Processes customer orders and direct shipment invoices for billing. This includes: entering, editing, copying, tracking and filing.
- Receives and verifies vendor acknowledgments regarding direct shipment purchase orders.
- General office duties such as answering phone, opening and routing incoming mail, typing, filing, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail.
- Operates computer terminal to input, retrieve data and verify the accuracy of information entered.
- Corresponds with the credit department for customers that are flagged as needing credit approval.
- Prepares outgoing invoices for mailing including verifying that the information on the vendor invoice matches the information on the customer invoice.
- Compares vendor invoices against the purchase order to verify correctness of the shipments and notifies the appropriate people of variance.
- Creates debit memos to vendors in the system for shipment or price errors.
- Customer Service oriented.
- Able to meet deadlines.
- Excellent attendance record required.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Other Administrative duties as needed for position.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
- Intermediate skill with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Basic analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Work well in a team environment
- Able to work with a diverse group
- Good communication skills with team, team leaders and customers
- Product and application knowledge is essential.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community.
