Position Summary:
The Delivery Supervisor is responsible for effective and efficient product distribution, managing a team of professional drivers, and assisting the Delivery Manager in the day-to-day operations of the delivery department.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Supervise daily delivery operations, planning and scheduling
- Ensure quality standards and productivity goals are achieved
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations and safety and health standards (DOT, OSHA, etc.)
- Coordinate drivers according to customer needs
- Establish and maintain positive customer relationships
- Develop transportation staff
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- Associate's Degree with 3 years of related experience and 0-1 years of supervisory experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of related experience and 1 years of supervisory experience
- Excellent problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate business needs, think proactively and respond appropriately
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Willing to work any schedule, including weekends and holidays, due to our 24/7 environment (MB Specific)
- Must be able to pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working in the beverage industry
- Experience working in a warehouse, transportation, purchasing, customer service, sales or similar supply chain department
