Position Summary:
Forklift Operators are responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities. Receive inbound products (including rail cars), replenish, and pull product utilizing forklifts and powered material handling equipment.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Operate industrial vehicles and equipment
- Safely and accurately receive inbound products (including rail), replenish inventory as needed and pull product
- Load and unload designated trailers and/or route trucks
- Utilize various digital technologies or software such as bar code readers and RF Scanners
- Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer
- Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered
- Perform basic sanitation duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
- Other projects or duties as assigned
