If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for an Accounts Payable Associate to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.
Your Role:
The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organization by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled. This position processes and inputs invoice records into the company computer system promptly and accurately, responds to inquiries regarding payments and invoices from vendors and customers, maintains records of financial transactions, balances the books, and performs account reconciliation. You will have the opportunity to:
- Review and process invoices, both PO and NON-PO, using SAP.
- Review, process, and reconcile invoices and credit memos for vendors.
- Be the Procurement liaison.
- Respond to inquiries as well as resolving issues with other departments.
- Process error corrections, debit memos, and requests for refund checks.
- Support Accounts Payable with audit requirements to be SOX guidelines for payables.
- Assist in training temporary help or new employees.
- Assist in projects such as Apex AP audit, testing for new software, or process testing.
- Assist vendors with payment questions and help resolve issues as they arise.
- Reconcile Statements.
- Work with plants on invoice issues.
- PO reconciliations.

We need you to have:
- 4 years of related professional Accounts Payable experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Proficient in data entry skills.
- Must have a good understanding of the full-cycle accounts payable process.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
- Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
Icing on the cake:
- Associate's degree.
- 4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications, or General Accounting.
- Proficient in Oracle and SAP.
