This position is located at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida and offers a hybrid telecommuting schedule after initial training period.
Essential Functions
- Provide advice and counsel to business unit management and employees on a broad range of human resources issues.
- Provide service and support in recruitment and employment, to include posting requisitions, reviewing job descriptions, evaluating applicants, extending offers and basic full life-cycle of new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Provide service and support with employee and/or labor relations, performance, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits, organization development, AA/EEO, and special projects to fully leverage human capital.
- Identify, analyze and recommend solutions on a wide variety of issues including but not limited to employee performance, staffing, providing counsel on company policies and procedures, investigations of violations of company policies and overall employee satisfaction.
- Prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirements or organizational needs to provide appropriate parties with necessary human resources information.
- Act as a liaison between employees and/or managers and the organization by interpreting personnel policies and procedures and resolving employee concerns.
- Assist in assessing organizational needs to provide diagnosis and recommendation of interventions for change management. Participate in managing organizational change.
- Accurately prepare and process paperwork in the administration of HR processes.
- Keep abreast of current developments in the HR profession.

- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five years of human resources generalist experience.
- Experience working with human resources principles, practices and procedures.
- Experience working with human resources laws and regulations.
- Experience working with organizational behavior, group dynamics, team interventions, organization and job design.
- Experience working with human resources information systems (HRIS).
- Experience with staffing coordination and techniques.
- Experience with unionized workforce, preferred.
- Society of Human Resources Management or HR Certification Institute professional certification, preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
