What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrator - Medical Adult Day Care Center position at RHC ADC INC?
Administrator of Medical Day Care Services is responsible for the overall functioning of the Program including long-term planning and the provision of quality treatment and care for Special Health Needs clients in accordance with the requirements of all regulatory bodies, our mission, vision, values and philosophy of treatment.
Position Specific Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage the operational, fiscal and reporting components of the Medical Day Care Center and ensure that the program is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulating agencies including DOH, DMHAS, and HIPPA.
- Develop, annually update and implement all policies and procedures of the program.
- Ensure that all staff are trained in the agency’s Policies and Procedures.
- Interview and make the final selection of applicants for employment (nursing personnel interviews/selection will be in conjunction with Director of Nursing).
- Develop coordinate, and implement the program in accordance with patient needs.
- Ensure the provision of staff orientation, and continuous training/education maintenance of proper personnel records.
- Supervise all staff and ensure proper patient-staff ratio including the program matrix.
- Ensure supervisors keep employee files up to date according to Human Resource’s policies and procedures.
- Facilitate weekly staff meeting to include monthly review of client’s cases.
- Oversee the completion of all plans of correction in the required time frame in coordination with the Director of Special Initiatives.
- Review and act on applications for admission and discharge of clients to the program.
- Oversee clients’ social service needs.
- Submit statistical reports required by supervising agencies.
- Advocate for program participants and collaborate and network with other agencies and service providers, as appropriate.
- Ensure clients receive individuals, group counseling, and did adequate education in compliance with the MDCC regulations. Provide these services to clients in the absence of counselor/counselor-intern.
- Represent the MDC at meetings designed to educate both public and private sectors regarding needs of program participants.
- Prepare and submit reports to supervising agencies in a timely manner.
- Ensure appropriateness and availability of contact/consulting services
- Oversee all “paid time off” and ensure that proper coverage is maintained.
- Conduct and submit to H/R all annual employee evaluations and revised job descriptions.
Required Experience
The administrator of an adult day health services facility shall:
- Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a college or university approved by a state department of education
- Be a qualified health professional licensed by the State of New Jersey as a BSN or LSW & CALA with four to five year of full time administrative or supervisory experience in a licensed healthcare facility. In addition to meeting the criteria above, the administrator of an adult day health services facility serving adults shall be experienced in the care of the elderly and disabled and knowledgeable regarding their physical, social and medical health needs.
License Required- CALA ( Certified Assistant Living Administration) and/or LNHA,
Consumer care and Case Management skills are also required.Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
