About the opportunity?
This position is responsible for the execution of Inventory Control, through physical counts and maintain a web-based inventory control system, through weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual updates. Participate in the success of refractory business opportunities including trials and developing reports. Develop systems to track and analyze refractory life, wear as well as consumption. Establish good professional working relationship with refractory crew, plant personnel, plant management and internal stakeholders.
Essential Job Requirements
- Coordinate daily logistics of refractory materials.
- Support the refractory application and inventory housekeeping to RHI Magnesita products on site including daily inventory counts.
- Advise the refractory crew during refractory usage, identify and report refractory quality or application issues. Understand steel making process and plant site safety requirements.
- Manage inventory at customer site, according to annual financial targets for invoicing and receivables to meet SG&A and working capital goals.
- Monthly KPI’s data collection, analysis, and support in follow up actions.
- Assist to generate the quarterly CPP Results Meeting Report, participate in the results presentation and discussions.
- Coordinate the inbound logistics and demand planning for RHI Magnesita products, through the utilization of the specific tools.
- Populate and distribute report covering the latest melt shop performance (weekly consumption, month end CPP usage report).
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, Word, SAP, Scope, CRM, CPP tool and QMOS.
- Involve in populating CRM new sales opportunities.
- Involve in populating Scope Forecast System with most accurate source of consumption forecast.
- Populate, update CPP tool with actual, goals, consumption, and actions.
- Participate customer continuous improvements meetings.
- Learn other activities and continues improvement to be prepared to possible future promotion.
About you:
Education and/or Experience
- 3 years of leadership experience
- 3 years technical experience, preferably with melt shop and refractory ceramics knowledge
- Ability to learn inventory control processes and standards
- Familiarity with heavy industrial environments and related safety standards
- Must be comfortable in dealing with customers from all levels
- Independent worker and self-starter, who contributes to the overall team objectives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP, MRP, CRM, CPP tool and QMOS or similar systems
- Ability to be able to perform minor mechanical repairs beneficial
Knowledge, Skills, and General Abilities
- Must have excellent communication in English.
- Steel industry knowledge is a plus
- Ability to learn inventory control processes and standards
- Tracking, analyzing and explaining data
- Ready to do any mechanical maintenance and repair. Report problems to proper individuals for support.
- Ready to do electrical maintenance and repair and able to read electrical plan for troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with heavy industrial environments and related safety standards. Have a health and safety focus at all times
- Must be comfortable in dealing with customers from all levels
- Hands on, forward thinking, and improvement/results driven
- Open mind to new refractory opportunitities and problem solving
- Works effectively and collaboratively, including clear written and verbal communications
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite of products, specifically MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

- Flexibility with on call / overtime / trial participation requirements

Physical Requirements
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment when required, including helmet with chin strap, vest, gloves, glasses, and steel toed boots
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop and kneel
- Light to moderate lifting is required
