POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager will be accountable for managing all assigned projects by developing a detailed plan, assigning team members, anticipating road blocks and resolving issues to ensure the project meets deadlines. He/She will work closely with a cross functional team made of team members across the company, working to understand their concerns and resolving issues with them as they arise. If the team needs guidance or additional training, the Project Manager will overcome the obstacles to set them up for success. He/She is responsible for communicating progress to management and other stakeholders through team meetings, project management software, and other means necessary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Full project management for product development for all brands, after the design is approved through product launch.
- Manage projects to be on-time and completed by the deadline.
- Anticipate issues and concerns that could cause delays in delivery.
- Review issues and data to provide relevant, actionable feedback to project teams.
- Schedule and lead meetings to update team members and develop a plan for project success in each department.
- Audit project steps to confirm team members are completing the necessary items correctly and thoroughly.
- Review process and continuously adjust it to make it more streamline, effective, and efficient.
- Create and manage cross functional teams by establishing performance objectives, training, providing feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
- Build strong relationships internally and externally, across a wide range of constituents.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
- A degree in business management or business administration, or 4 years’ relevant experience.
- 2 years’ experience leading small project-based teams through influencing, mentoring, training and/or coaching.
SOFT SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Demonstrated active listening, observation, analytical, and problem recognition and solving skills.
- Proven and successful leadership skills, ability to assist and train co-workers.
- Demonstrated effective communication and organizational management skills.
- Team player with the ability to interface with all levels of staff.
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
- Experience with MS office applications. Experience with IQMS software preferred but not required.
- Excellent written, oral, and communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk about the facility as needed.
- Comfort and ability to be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, heat and cold.
