General Manager- McDonald's

Responsibilities:

The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for making sure the restaurant meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so we need someone up for the challenge! The General Manager works with his/her leader to set the restaurant's goals and creates a plan to achieve the goals.

To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager doesn't work alone. He or she leads a team of Department Managers that has specific responsibilities in the restaurant. This means helping the Department Managers to set their own goals, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their Departments. By improving the Departments, the restaurant improves!

The General Manager is also responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to make sure that the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future.

  • Supervising food safety and cleanliness procedures to ensure the team is meeting McDonald's standards
  • Communicating effectively with Crew, Shift Managers and Department Managers to help them prepare to run a great shift, too
  • Setting/Achieving targets during shifts and monthly, to help departments and the overall restaurant meet their goals
  • Taking action to monitor safety, security, inventory and profitability
  • Overseeing Manager and Crew schedules and encouraging high performance during their shift
  • Providing exceptional customer service and quality food production
  • Training new team members (crew and managers) on critical job functions

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age
  • Prior Quick Service Restaurant experience
  • Restaurant experience is required
  • Applicants must have 2 years of McDonald's Management Experience
  • ServSafe certification is preferred but not required
