**FIRST REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS NOVEMBER 1STThe Elections Coordinator supports critical government infrastructure by performing and coordinating Federal, State, County and local elections and maintaining accountability to ensure elections are conducted in compliance with elections laws. This position is responsible for ensuring voting processes maintain professional standards to earn and preserve public confidence in the electoral process. This position also provides high quality, timely, respectful and effective customer service in both elections and property tax administration.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Maintains accountability for the integrity of Federal, State, County and local election processes through the performance of various technical and administrative tasks. Coordinates tasks associated with equipment maintenance and testing, management of the voter registration system, ballot layout services, absentee balloting processes and customer service.Delivers high quality, timely and respectful customer service that provides equitable outcomes and meets the needs of Rice County residents.Appointed as Deputy Property Tax and Elections Director to sign and certify documents on behalf of the Property Tax and Elections Office of Rice County.Manages and maintains special assessments.Assists with preparation and billing of drainage system liens and redeterminations.Serves in a backup capacity for reconciling daily cash collections in their entirety for Rice County.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
HIRING RANGE/UNION: $28.35 - $39.77 per hour / GUHOURS: Normal business hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm. Position is fulltime, 40 hours per week, working 9 consecutive hours, from 7:30am – 4:30pm, including a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
