QA Technician

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team! You will conduct tests to determine the quality of materials and finished products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Hours: Monday-Friday 5:15am-1:45pm with some weekends and overtime availability.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough examinations of all materials and finished products and must have ability to detect slight variations in color.
• Maintain, monitor, and record information pertaining to products and production. This includes; Code dating, Product Specifications, Seal Checks, and Environmental microbiological sampling
• Monitors testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols; Proficiency Testing per SOP
• Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations
• Implement and improve quality control operating procedures
• Calibrates, validates, or maintains processing equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Ensures that facility cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
• Must be able to follow written directions and apply previously determined corrective action(s) when deviations are identified.
• Quality Assurance procedures pertaining to product, SOPs and GMPs
• Perform various duties/tasks as determined by management.

• Previous work experience in quality control/food safety or other related fields
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education

HS/GED; Understanding of food safety practices such as SQF, GMP, and HACCP a plus
