Job Description
This position is to organize the operator personnel and equipment to be able to run the needed daily production.
Job Duties
Responsible for food safety by following HACCP and Food Safety policies/procedures. Responsible for plant safety by observing persons entering work area, asking if you can assist them and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor. Attend training as required or approved by supervisor. Assign daily job tasks. Communicate with Supervisor on daily needs. Make sure sewing machines, label machines, etc. are in proper working condition. Make sure all bags are weighed properly. Make sure all code dates are on bags to be shipped. Make sure the paperwork is correctly filled out. Make sure employees are wearing personal protective equipment and are adhering to employees’ practices. Perform any assigned job by supervisor. Wear PPE, Work safely. Show and understand HACCP program. Make sure metal detectors are in good working condition. Explain how the metal detectors work and the metal detection policy. Must have a valid forklift license. Ability to operate a computer. Demonstrate the ability to communicate with employees. Be able to inspect trucks and fill out paperwork properly. Ensure trucks and box cars are loaded properly. Make sure bags and pallets are in place for loading the next day.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)and one to three months related experience and/or training.
