Our very well established manufacturing client located in Eastern Ct has an immediate need for the following: Production Coordinator will make sure that all established schedules and time lines involved in the production of finished goods are followed efficiently.
You will be responsible for negotiating and enforcing the on-time delivery of materials used in the manufacture of products. You will interact with production staff making sure that their expectations are met and the product produced is up to client standrds.
Nature of Work
You will be responsible for maintaining a master schedule for projects. You will create and modify the schedule, detailing each sequence of work that should be done at a particular time. You will record the effects of work being performed on time and not performed on time. You will be in charge of evaluating the progress of projects and prepare regular updates. You will coordinate with management, operations department and contractors to discuss progress and find solutions to scheduling issues. You will provide input in developing work schedules as part of estimating cost of projects, illustrating project timelines and milestones. You are responsible for preparing and issuing proposed and provisional schedule. May also serve as technical advisors for some production problems. You will coordinate and consult with relevant project team members to ensure the completion of proper planning before a project is started. You will also assist project managers in generating schedules for immediate implementation, as well as monitor the same schedule’s impact on the master schedule. If scheduling problems surface as a result, you help in determining the cause and finding solutions to such problems. When required, you will provide relevant information regarding the content, changes or presentation of schedules.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule production and activities and supervises production timelines of the organization.
- Ensures that the quality of products are good and on time.
- Ensures that maintenance in all forms is not too costly but is of high quality at all times.
- Estimates the costs of production and determines whether or not it is worth it.
- Works out certain materials as needed.
- Selects and maintains equipments and ensures that the organizations standard’s are met at all times.
- Works well with managers to execute rules and regulations of the company.
- Keeps knowledge when it comes to health and safety procedures.
Qualifications
· Must have be at least a high school graduate or GED.
· Candidates for this position should have in depth knowledge of scheduling systems as well as the principles and practices involved.
· Must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
