What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Age Teacher position at Richfield KinderCare?
We are looking for a committed School Age Teacher to complement our qualified workforce of educators. You will be responsible for implementing our KinderCare curriculum and creating an enhancement plan each day. The goal is to help our students learn, grow, and strive to find their interests.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
- Create and implement your enhancement plan
- Assess and record students’ progress provide and feedback
- Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in conferences
- Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
- Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending professional development days twice a year.
- Create and add to student portfolios
- Cleaning classroom during the day (after meals) and thoroughly in the evenings.
Skills
- Proven experience as a teacher
- Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the center’s policies and procedures
- Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills
- Well-organized and committed
- Creative and energetic
- Degree in teaching or in a specialized subject with a certificate in education;
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
COVID-19 considerations:
Non-vaccinated teachers are required to take an at-home COVID test each week.
